Uma Thurman’s ‘The Slap’ To Film In Park Slope
A new miniseries based on an Australian series will be filming in our area on Wednesday, meaning you might run into some famous folks while you’re out grabbing coffee — though you’ve also got to move your car.
The Slap is an eight-episode show coming to NBC about the fallout that follows a man’s birthday party where his cousin slaps the child of a friend.
The show stars Food Coop member Peter Sarsgaard (Garden State; An Education) as the birthday boy, alongside Uma Thurman (Kill Bill; The Truth About Cats & Dogs), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek; American Horror Story), Brian Cox (Rushmore; Super Troopers), and more.
The show will be filming on the following streets on December 3 from about 1-11pm:
- 9th Street between 4th & 5th Avenues
- 5th Avenue between 8th & 11th Streets (west side)
- 5th Avenue between 9th & 10th Streets (east side)
Vehicles will need to be moved from those blocks by 6am. If you find yours has been relocated, contact the locations department at 718-706-5799.
