“We’re not there just yet.”

That’s the message which came up on my phone after I downloaded the UberEATS app while walking down 7th Avenue. I want to give the app a test run in front of Community Bookstore (143 7th Avenue between Garfield Place and Carroll Street).

The on-demand food delivery service app was launched on March 22 of this year, according to a company spokesperson. At that point, Manhattanites who lived below 100th Street could order from select restaurants. Your pad thai, BBQ ribs, and ice cream cones could jump in the back seat of an Uber for a $2.99 flat delivery fee.

By the end of July, the service expanded up to 135th Street in Manhattan as well to Williamsburg and Greenpoint in Brooklyn.

The fourth delivery expansion area of UberEats began on Wednesday, including South Williamsburg, Dumbo, Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Navy Yard, Brooklyn Heights, Fort Greene, Cobble Hill, Boreum Hill, and Clinton Hill.

In addition, parts of Park Slope, Gowanus, Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Gowanus, Prospect Heights, and Carroll Gardens are now included.

According to the announcement from the company, customers can order lunch, dinner, late night, and brunch from 8am-1am by either using the UberEATS app or online at their website.

Tiny the Usurper of the Community Bookstore is currently unable to order tuna tartar as his address is located a little over two blocks south of Union Street.

However, if you walk a few blocks down and position yourself in front of Sir D’s Lounge (837 Union Street between 6th and 7th Avenues), you can order away.

Keep in mind the Union Street UberEATS border spans from Prospect Park West all the way west through Gowanus, Carroll Gardens — to the waterfront.

According to UberEATS, the goal with each rollout is to make sure they expand speedily without shorting customers on quality.

So if you’re north of Union Street, you can get $15 off your first order with this code: LETSEATBK15
