Two New Rental Buildings Coming To East Flatbush

EAST FLATBUSH – A new six-story, ten-unit apartment building is slated for 679 Lefferts Avenue.

At 60 feet tall and more than 8,000 square feet, according to New York YIMBY, the imposing new building will replace a two-story brick house. Each of the ten apartments will average approximately 800 square feet, which indicates rental units, YIMBY reports.

The building will feature a doorman and outdoor recreation space for tenants.

Brownstoner noted the “horror movie atmosphere” of IMC Architecture’s unusually dark and stormy rendering of the building. One of the principals of the firm told the real estate site that they wanted to give the image “some more flair.”

A little further south at 152 Erasmus Street, permits have been filed for a four-story, ten-unit apartment building that will replace a two-family home.

Oddly, the current property is blurred out on both Google Maps and Property Shark, but as you can see from the image above, the new building will be constructed on a strip consisting of smaller homes.

The development will stand 55 feet tall with more than 7,300 square feet divvied up into ten apartments averaging 730 square feet each, which suggests the units will be rentals, YIMBY states.

Diego Aguilera Architects will design the property which will feature two duplex apartments on the upper levels.

An estimated completion date has not yet been announced for either project.
