Two Men Wanted In Connection To Gunpoint Robbery On E 8th Street

Police are looking for two men who allegedly held up a livery cab driver at gunpoint on East 8th Street last month.

The NYPD says that on Sunday, January 26 at about 5:15am, two men entered a livery cab that was parked on East 8th Street between Avenue C and Cortelyou Road, when one suspect allegedly placed a firearm to the rear of the driver’s head and demanded money. Police say a struggle ensued, and the driver was punched in the face multiple times, causing bruises and lacerations.

Cops say the suspects took off with about $500 and the victim’s iPhone.

The suspect in the sketch above is described as a black man between the ages of 25 and 35 years old, between 150-170 pounds, who was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect, who the police do not have a sketch of, is described only as a black man last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
