Two Boots Returning, Taking Over Former Terroir Space

Signage is up on the corner of 5th Avenue and 1st Street that will bring a smile to a lot of faces — looks like Two Boots will be returning to the neighborhood, taking over the former Terroir space.

Thanks to neighbor Matt Kaplan for sending the pic, which confirms a rumor that Here’s Park Slope heard the other day. While we’re not sure if owners Andy and Piper Wandzilak, who initially closed the Two Boots location on 2nd Street last year for renovations, only to put the space up for rent six months later, are behind this new spot, they recently mentioned on their Facebook page that they were looking at opening a bar/restaurant in Gowanus.

The Park Slope location of the Cajun pizza chain had been a family-friendly favorite at 514 2nd Street for 24 years before closing last November. They’ll be taking over the smaller space at 284 5th Avenue, which has been vacant since the Brooklyn location of the wine bar Terroir closed this August after two years in business.
