Tuesday Crime Blotter: Public Lewdness, Groping, $20,000 Worth Of Jewelry & Electronics Stolen & More

FLATBUSH – Police need help searching for two individuals who allegedly robbed a man last month.

On December 14, two men approached a 52-year-old man inside a building on Ocean Avenue and Church Avenue. One of the men pointed a handgun while the other searched the victim. They left with $200 and the man’s wallet. Cops say the suspects left the building and headed north on Ocean Avenue.

The first suspect is described as a black man wearing a red hoodie, a black jacket, black pants, and red and black sneakers. The second suspect is also a black man wearing a blue knit cap, a black hoodie, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.

BED-STUY – Cops are searching for a man that allegedly groped a woman last month.

On December 23, a little after 6 p.m, a man approached a 26-year-old woman from behind as she was walking north on Kingston Avenue near Herkimer Street. Cops say the man asked the woman for spare change, which she gave. As she continued walking north, the man followed and tried to make conversation.

The man grabbed her butt and then fled the location. The woman was not injured.

The NYPD described the suspect as an 18- to 25-year-old black man with height ranging from 5’9″ to 6’0″ and weight approximately 170 pounds. He has a dark complexion and medium build. He was wearing a black knit cap, a black coat, a blue jacket, white sneakers, and a black backpack.

MANHATTAN BEACH – Police are searching for three men who they believe are involved in a burglary that took place two weeks ago.

On Thursday, December 27 at about 2:30 p.m., three men entered a house on Shore Boulevard through a side door when no one was home. They left with $20,000 worth of jewelry and electronics. The 61-year-old victim was not aware of burglary until he returned home on Saturday, December 29.

Police describe the men as follows:

Suspect 1: A 30- to 40-year-old white man wearing a burgundy jacket and blue pants.

Suspect 2: A 30 to 40-year-old white man wearing a blue jacket and blue pants.

Suspect 3: A 30 to 40-year-old white man wearing a green vest and blue pants.

GRAVESEND – Police need help searching for a man in connection to a burglary that took place last month.

On Thursday, December 13 at 2:45 p.m., a man opened the rear door of a commercial van in front of 484 Kings Highway and stole several boxes. He then fled the location in a blue Honda Pilot SUV and headed south on McDonald Ave. Cops say the boxes included $2,200 worth of camera equipment.

The suspect is described as a 35- to 45-year-old Hispanic man wearing a dark blue baseball cap, blue jacket, and blue jeans. See video of the suspect below.

EAST NEW YORK – Police are searching for two men involved in a robbery that took place about two weeks ago.

On Sunday, December 23 at 12:10 a.m., two men approached a 26-year-old male and demanded he give them his bag. One suspect held a gun and instructed the victim to turn around. The suspect then discharged his gun and missed the victim, cops said. The two suspects then ran in an unknown direction.

The men are described as follows:

Suspect 1: A black male wearing a dark colored jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Suspect 2: A black male wearing a dark colored jacket, dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and dark sneakers.

CROWN HEIGHTS – Police need help searching for a man involved in a robbery that took place last week.

On Friday, January 4 at about 3 p.m. a man entered Naye African Braiding salon at 736 Nostrand Ave. According to the cops, he locked the door, displayed a gun, and demanded property from six people who were inside the shop. After receiving about $230, the suspect forced everyone to move to the back of the salon. He then locked them inside and left the salon.

The suspect is described as a 5’3” 30-year-old black man wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a black hat, and gray sneakers.

FLATBUSH – Police are searching for a man who allegedly exposed himself on the subway two weeks ago.

On Friday, December 28 at 8 a.m., the suspect was traveling on board a southbound Q train approaching the Beverly Road subway station. Cops say the man sat in front of a 16-year-old girl and exposed himself.

The suspect is described as a 6’0” black man weighing approximately 200 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and a dark complexion.
