Adoptable Animal Of The Week: Trixie The Dog
Looking for a new companion? Trixie the dog wants you to snuggle with her!
Sean Casey says:
Trixie is a 5 year old pit bull mix. This sweet girl has one eye and is totally blind in it. Although Trixie is blind, she is very friendly with everyone she meets. This pretty girl is great with kids, dogs, and cats.
Since Trixie is blind, a proper dog introduction will be necessary, since it may take her some time to get used to a new dog. Once Trixie warms up, the pups will be best friends. Trixie is also very nervous when walking outside due to the loud noises of trucks and buses. Trixie needs an experienced pack leader to help guide and train her though life and give her the confidence she needs.
This little girl walks best with a halti. Trixie is crate trained, and she actually really enjoys her crate! Trixie is approximately 40 pounds, and some people might consider her to be a pocket pittie. She will make an excellent companion and will love you unconditionally!.
You can arrange to meet Trixie at the Sean Casey Animal Shelter, located at 153 E 3rd Street, between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue — a quick trip on the F/G to Fort Hamilton Parkway — open daily from 11am to 7pm.
