Trick-Or-Treat! Cops Recover Cocaine, Heroin & Samurai Sword During Halloween Raid

They didn’t come for sugar, but cops did find a different white powder during a raid at a Sheepshead Bay apartment on Halloween.

Police uncovered a considerable stash of heroin and cocaine, as well as a samurai sword and a switchblade, while executing a search warrant early Saturday morning at an apartment near East 18th Street and Avenue R, according to the NYPD.

Authorities say they arrested 34-year-old Freddie Green during the search. He was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a weapon.

Police in the 61st Precinct also say they arrested 18 suspects involved in three separate robberies over Halloween weekend, including five teenagers who surrounded a 14-year-old in Kelly Park Friday evening and went through the victim’s pockets to try and take his phone. The would-be thieves didn’t find anything on the victim and were later arrested when police canvassed the area, according to the NYPD.
