Trains Stopped At Church Ave Due To Debris, Or Cat, On The Tracks

We just got a note from neighbor Jason Chase that the B and Q trains are stopped at Church Avenue because of debris on the tracks.
“Been waiting here a half hour and they expect at least 45 more minutes of down time,” he reports.
But then on Twitter, we found some other possible explanations:
Wow a train conductor just held up a train not to run over 2 kittens in the tracks at Church Ave subway. Awe! @pilartoons

@MTA Mass Hysteria on Q train stuck on Church Ave due to a "feline hanging out on the tracks" and "power outage!" #debris #NYCMTA

All trains down out of Church AVE. why? CAT ON THE TRACKS!! CAT ON THE TRACKS!!

Jason just wrote back to add: “They just evacuated everyone and said there’s no service at the Church station. Telling everyone to take the bus.”
We will update if we learn more, but if anyone has photos of these train-stopping cats, please send them our way at editor@ditmasparkcorner.com!
Update: Neighbor SAJ sent this photo of a kit-muter she caught a few weeks back. She says their nest is above the southbound platform at Church, but it’s not clear yet if these are the kittens fast gaining Twitter fame for their track-blocking ways.
Update 2: Oh. Wow. NBC 4 New York has video of the cutest thing ever to happen at Church Avenue, and says power was turned off on the tracks so kittens could be herded into carriers.
