Updated: Q Service Resumes, With Delays, After Track Fire At The Church Avenue B/Q Subway Station
Updated at 1:02pm: Firefighters have extinguished what they categorized as a “small fire” on the southbound tracks at the Church Avenue B/Q subway station, according to firefighters at the scene and a spokesman for the FDNY.
The fire, which the FDNY said was caused by a transformer, was reported at 11:55am, and it caused southbound Q trains to run express from Prospect Park to Kings Highway.
Additionally, there was no Franklin Avenue S trains between Franklin Avenue and Prospect Park. According to the MTA, Q and S service has resumed, but with delays.
