The giant empty lot sitting next to the under-construction City Point Tower 1 across from LIU Brooklyn’s campus on Flatbush Avenue will eventually have Brooklyn’s tallest skyscraper, if current plans hold true. As first reported by New York YIMBY, the site at 340 Flatbush Avenue Extension will be home to a 1,000-foot-tall tower that is 225 feet taller than initial building plans submitted by JDS Development and SHoP Architects.

The building is set for completion in 2019 and will have a total of 466,000 square feet of residential space over 90 floors and 550 units, and 140,000 square feet of commercial space.
