Hundreds of baseball fans will watch Councilman Mark Treyger and staff members face off with the Coney Island Autism Angels Tuesday night in a softball fundraiser at MCU Park (1904 Surf Avenue).

The game, which begins at 7pm, will benefit Autism Angels’ important work on behalf of local children and families. Team Treyger will include the councilman, his staff, and members of the NYPD’s 60th Precinct. The Coney Island Autism Angels will include members, volunteers, and supporters of the non-profit organization.

Founded by Anthony and Veronica Droz — who have a daughter with autism — Autism Angels aims to raise awareness about the condition in Coney Island, and hosts a weekly meet-up for families dealing with autism.

The doors open at 6pm, and tickets cost $5. Free parking will be available at the lot at Surf Avenue and West 17th Street, adjacent to the stadium. Cash will be accepted at the door.

Ballgame goers can purchase concessions at the stadium and catch the Brooklyn Cyclone’s mascot, Sandy the Seagull, providing entertainment throughout the game.

The stadium is handicap accessible and can be reached by the D, Q, F, and N trains and the B68, B82, and B36 buses.
