Thursday Morning Fire Destroys Vacant Home On Avenue H, Near E. 15th Street
A two-alarm fire ripped through an Avenue H home undergoing construction a little after 5am this morning, which devastated the structure but fortunately did not injure anyone, according to the FDNY.
According to News 12, the blaze began on the porch and quickly consumed the house at 1435 Avenue H, a private three-story unit located right by the Avenue H Q subway station that fire officials said was empty at the time of the fire.
Firefighters were soon able to get the flames under control before it could damage any nearby houses.
The fire remains under investigation, the FDNY said.
