“Be More” Mocktail Mixer & Book Signing

When: Thursday, March 3rd, at 6pm
Where: House of Juice, located at 642 Rogers Avenue (and Parkside Avenue).
What: A Healthy Mocktail Party & Book Signing. Mix and mingle with organic juice & craft brewed kombucha mocktails by House of Juice, along with a short presentation and book signing with Caitlin Padgett, author of “Drink Less Be More: How to have a great night (and life) without getting wasted.” Tickets include a signed copy of Padgett’s book, along with a flight of 9 mocktail recipes (non-alcoholic cocktails from organic juices, specially crafted).

Eat & Shop Your Heart Out Cortelyou: March Madness
When: Monday, February 29th to Saturday, March 27th
Where: Cortelyou Road between Coney Island Avenue and East 17th Street
What: This month-long event celebrates the amazing businesses of Cortelyou, while offering discounts and savings to our loyal community. Each week has a different theme, with merchants offering specific discounts and specials.
Week of 2/29 – 3/6, PUB TOUR: 773 Lounge; Asya Indian Restaurant; Bar Chord; Bashi Channel; The Castello Plan; Highbury Pub; Lea; Purple Yam; and Sycamore.

When: Saturday, March 5th, 2 to 6pm
Where: Urban Martial Arts, 965 Coney Island Avenue (between Newkirk and Ditmas Avenues)
What: Neighborhood carnival featuring: sand-art; costuming and styling for ballet, musical theater, and superheroes; face painting; nature arts and craft using material from our environment + games; build your own puppets and bring them to life on stage; karate, gymnastics & dance, and more.
