Music In The Grove: Free Kids Concert
When: Wednesday, August 5, 10-11am
Where: Fort Greene Park, DeKalb Avenue and Washington Park
What: Enjoy a free family concert by Hopalong Andrew.

KIDtivity Wednesdays
When: Wednesday, August 5, 11am-4pm
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Start KIDtivity Wednesday with a fitness class wit PopFit Kids, then stick around for a puppet show by Puppetsburg at 1pm. KIDtivity Wednesday will close out with a cooking class by Creative Kitchen at 4pm for kids, ages 2-5. All classes are free and reservations can be made online.

A Summer Movie Under The Stars

What: Bring your blankets to a free showing of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, sponsored by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.

Where: Greenwood Playground, Fort Hamilton Parkway & E 5th Street, Kensington
What: Meet at the flagpole and bring chalk for this morning chock full of art.

Brooklyn Summer Shakespeare-ience: The Taming Of The Shrew
When: Saturday, August 8, 3-5pm
Where: Central Library, 10 Grand Army Plaza, Park Slope
What: Watch a free community performance of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew presented by Brooklyn teens.

Hip Tot Family Day
When: Sunday, August 9, 11am
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Enjoy a performance by Rolie Polie Guacamole and Dog on Fleas, plus games, dancing, and a magic show by The Magik Theater.

Sunday Story Time With Sujean Rim

Where: PowerHouse on 8th, 1111 8th Avenue, South Slope
What: Meet author and illustrator Sujean Rim during a reading of the fifth story in her Birdie series, Birdies’ First Day of School.
