This Week’s F & G Subway Changes

Happy Monday! This week, there are several changes to look out for, including no G train between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets and Church Avenue from 11:30pm to 5am today through Friday. Details via the MTA:

Starting Monday:

Jamaica-bound F trains skip Smith-9 Streets, Carroll Street, and Bergen Street.
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, October 20-24
For service to these stations, take the F to Jay Street-MetroTech and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service from these stations, take the F to 4 Avenue-9 Street and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. Note, there’s no G service at these stations during this time.

No G trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets and Church Avenue
Late nights, 11:30pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, October 20-24
A and F trains provide alternate service. No G  service at Bergen Street, Carroll Street, Smith-9 Streets, 4 Avenue-9 Street, 15 street-Prospect Park, Fort Hamilton Parkway, and Church Avenue. Take the F instead. Transfer between the A and G trains at Hoyt-Schermerhorn. Transfer between the A and F trains at Jay Street-MetroTech. G service operates in two sections: one, between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and two, between Bedford-Nostrand and Hoyt-Schermerhorn.

Starting Tuesday:

Coney Island-bound F trains skip Sutphin Boulevard, Van Wyck Boulevard and 75 Avenue
Late nights, 9:45pm to 5am, Tuesday to Friday, October 21-24
For service to Sutphin Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service to Van Wyck Boulevard and 75 Avenue, take the F to Union Turnpike or 71 Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E or Jamaica-bound F. For service from Sutphin Boulevard and Van Wyck Boulevard, take the F to Parsons Boulevard and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service from 75 Avenue, take the E or F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.

Starting Wednesday:

F trains run every 20 minutes between Avenue X and Stillwell Avenue, Jamaica-bound trains skip Avenue U
Days, 10:30am to 3pm, Wednesday to Friday, until October 24.
Service operates in two sections: one, between 179 Street and Avenue X and two, between Avenue X and Stillwell Avenue. Transfer at Avenue X to continue your trip. For service to Avenue U, take the F to Kings Highway and transfer to an Avenue X-bound F. For service from this station, take the F to Avenue X, where it will become a Jamaica-bound F.

Remember, unscheduled changes can occur, so be sure to check the MTA’s website before heading out.
