This Week’s F & G Subway Changes
Happy Monday! This week, we edge a little closer to the end of no G north of Nassau, and there are a couple changes on the F if you’re riding it in Queens or Manhattan. Details via the MTA:
Starting Monday:
No G train service north of Nassau Avenue
All times, until 5am Tuesday, September 2
The G is only running between Church and Nassau avenues to allow for the reconstruction of tunnels damaged during Hurricane Sandy. This means that at all times, trains will not be running to or from Greenpoint, 21st Street, and Court Square reconstruction of tunnels in Long Island City. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service. For more information about transfers, go here.
Coney Island-bound F trains skip 23 Street and 14 Street
Late nights,11:45pm to 5am, Monday, August 25 through Friday, August 29
For service to these stations, take the F to West 4th Street and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service from these stations, take the F to 34 Street-Herald Square and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.
Jamaica-bound F trains skip Van Wyck Boulevard and Sutphin Boulevard
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, until September 12 (except 11:45pm Monday to 5am Tuesday, September 1-2)
For service to these stations, take the F to Parsons Boulevard and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service from Van Wyck Boulevard, take the E or F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service from Sutphin Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F.
