This Weekend’s B & Q Subway Service Changes

This weekend is the first of a few rough ones the MTA is handing us in the near future. In addition to changes today through early tomorrow, Phase Two of platform rehab at the Parkside, Beverley, and Cortelyou stations begins tomorrow night, as do southbound trains skipping Avenues H, J, and M for the weekend. Details on this weekend’s service changes via MTA.info.

Today and early tomorrow:

Coney Island-bound Q trains run express from Prospect Park to Kings Highway
Days, 9:45am-3pm, Wednesday to Friday until February 28
Trains stop at Church Av and Newkirk Plaza. For service to Parkside Avenue, Beverley Road, Cortelyou Road, Avenue H, Avenue J, and Avenue M, take the Q to Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza, or Kings Highway and transfer to a Manhattan-bound B or Q.

Riders should also know, thanks to eagle-eyed neighbor Meg Feeley, we’re now aware that the next two weekends will be even worse–there will be no Q trains in either direction between Prospect Park and Stillwell Avenue, with shuttle buses running instead (more on that next week). Better get comfy walking to the F!

Sometimes scheduled changes get cancelled. Check MTA.info for the latest updates.
