This Weekend’s B & Q Subway Changes
Happy Labor Day weekend! Remember, because of the holiday, the subways and buses are operating on a Sunday schedule on Monday, September, 1. Otherwise, life isn’t looking too terrible on the B and the Q – though, heads up, the Q will be skipping Avenue U and Neck Road over the long weekend. Details via the MTA:
Starting Thursday:
145 Street-bound B trains run local from Sheepshead Bay to Prospect Park
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Wednesday to Friday, until September 12
Coney Island-bound Q trains run express from Prospect Park to Sheepshead Bay
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Wednesday to Friday, until September 12
Trains stop at Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza, and Kings Highway. For service to Parkside Avenue, Beverley Road, Cortelyou Road, Avenue H, Avenue J, Avenue M, Avenue U, and Neck Road, take the Q to Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza, Kings Highway , or Sheepshead Bay and transfer to a Manhattan-bound B or Q. For service from these stations, take the B or Q to Kings Highway, Newkirk Plaza, Church Avenue, or Prospect Park and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.
Starting Friday:
Coney Island-bound Q trains skip Avenue U and Neck Road
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Tuesday (because of the holiday)
For service to these stations, take the Q to Sheepshead Bay and transfer to a Manhattan-bound Q. For service from these stations, take the Q to Kings Highway and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.
Q line service runs between Stillwell Avenue and 57 Street-7 Avenue only
