New City Council districts have been approved and are awaiting a vote by the Council.

• As the holidays approach, don’t forget our food pantries.

• Two neighbors just opened a bike shop in DUMBO.

• New York State has $27 million to hire Sandy clean up workers.

• Simcha Felder will caucus with the GOP after being elected as a Democrat. Reactions were strong.

• The Brooklyn Marathon was run Sunday in Prospect Park.

Neighbors are still helping clean up and recover after Sandy.

• Don’t forget Thanksgiving turkeys and treats

• Garbage pickup has been iffy, causing some pile ups.

• The Jessie Streich-Kest fund raised over $25,000.
