This Week in Ditmas Park

Another interesting week with an election, a storm and oh so much more. Here’s a recap of the past week:

• First, the Q came back and then the B returned. Now, they both operate as normal. Normal has never been so sweet.

• We followed the nor’easter as it approached and then hit an already battered New York.

• As the mass transit system returned to normalcy, we asked neighbors to tell us how their commutes went.

• Ditmas Park has worked hard to volunteer and donate to the recovery from Sandy.

• A hectic commute left one neighbor trampled and bruised.

• Prospect Park lost 319 trees in Sandy.

• As we prepared for the election, we reviewed candidates and more.

• As predicted, this week’s nor’easter brought dangerous trees down around the neighborhood.

• We watched election day troubles around the area. Then, we recorded the results.

Obama won a second term.

• Gas has been hard to come by all week. Now we have rationing.

• There’s a rat in my toilet.
