There was much that happened in the neighborhood last week, including a major police raid, a teen being arrested for a Newkirk Avenue murder, a protest outside the Flatbush Junction Target, and more.
Here’s a recap of what happened in our neighborhood:
- A major neighborhood raid ended in 15 people being arrested for narcotics trafficking, the DA said.
- In that raid, a teen was arrested and charged with the murder on Newkirk Avenue, police said.
- A teenager was arrested for fatally shooting Harold Abodia on E. 21st Street.
- Three people were injured in a shooting near Prospect Park.
- Neighbors rallied in support of Alando Brissett, who was punched and pinned to the ground while being arrested at the Flatbush Junction Target.
- A man was caught on tape setting fire to Strictly Vegetarian on Church Avenue.
- Tell Councilman Eugene where flooding occurs in our area before his meeting with the DEP.
- Neighbors celebrate the 70th Precinct’s National Night Out

- These miniature pigs at the Prospect Park Zoo are basically the cutest things you’ll ever see.
