This Week At The Cortelyou Greenmarket

“Our bakers are rolling up their sleeves,” says Cortelyou Greenmarket manager Tali Biale, “and dusting off their rolling pins to show us what they’re made of (I’m guessing apples, butter, flour, etc).

“There will be a popular vote as well as a professional panel of chefs and Greenmarket senior staff,” Tali says. Tastings and voting will begin at 11:30am.

And of course, you can:

• Bring food scraps to be composted from 8am-1pm.

• Drop off textiles to be recycled from 8am-2pm.

• Plus, the Health Bucks program is on: For every $5 of your EBT you spend, you get a free $2 coupon for fruits and vegetables. Stop by the info tent to learn more.

The Cortelyou Greenmarket runs year-round on Sundays, 8am to 3pm, on Cortelyou Road between Argyle and Rugby Roads. For more info, find the Greenmarket on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
