This Week at the Cortelyou Greenmarket

“Happy Mother’s Day from Cortelyou Greenmarket!” says Market Manager Samantha Blatteis. “Make your mother happy with a home cooked meal made with local ingredients. There will be flowers, wine, asparagus, eggs, cheese, quiche, rhubarb, pies, and more spring favorites to compliment your Mother’s Day celebrations!”

Stop by the info tent to say hi to Samantha and to see a cooking demo and get some recipes, and as always to use your debit, credit, or EBT cards.

Additionally, look out for Farmer John of Muddy River Farm, who is back this week for the rest of the season.

Remember you can bring food scraps for composting and textiles to be recycled. Collection is at the Cortelyou/Rugby corner from 8am to 2pm.

And as the market gets busier in the summer, remember to avoid towing by not parking on Cortelyou OR Rugby Roads in designated Farmer Parking. For more market information, visit the Facebook page or the Cortelyou Greenmarket website. The Greenmarket runs every Sunday, rain or shine, from 8am to 4pm on Cortelyou between Argyle and Rugby.
