This Week At The Cortelyou Greenmarket

Tomorrow’s Cortelyou Greenmarket will feature an exciting new farmer, and the return of an old favorite. Long Island’s Certified Naturally Grown Goodale Farm will be joining the lineup for the first time, bringing cow and goat’s milk as well as cheese, yogurt, and butter.

Tweefontein Herb Farm will also make their monthly trip to our neck of the woods, bringing along herbal teas, soaps, tinctures, and, Tali says, “other herb-inspired goodies” that make great gifts. Tali also says this will be the last week to sign up for this season’s Apple Pie Bake-off, so make sure to get in under the wire.

And as always, you can:

• Bring food scraps to be composted from 8am-1pm.

• Drop off textiles to be recycled from 8am-2pm.

• The Health Bucks program is on: For every $5 of your EBT you spend, you get a free $2 coupon for fruits and vegetables. Stop by the info tent to learn more.

The Cortelyou Greenmarket runs year-round on Sundays, 8am to 3pm, on Cortelyou Road between Argyle and Rugby Roads. For more info, find the Greenmarket on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
