This Week at the Cortelyou Greenmarket

Tomorrow’s Cortelyou Greenmarket will feature a clam bake by Seatuck Fish’s “Captain Rob” Williams, as well as Fall produce and other goodies. Manager Tali Biale says this marks the beginning of seasonal squash and other veggies at the market, and cozy autumnal staples like apple cider, too.

The clam bake will start at 11:30am (until they run out, Tali says), and is free, but there is a $2 suggested donation.

And of course, you can:

• Bring food scraps to be composted from 8am-1pm.

• Drop off textiles to be recycled from 8am-2pm.

• The Health Bucks program is on: For every $5 of your EBT you spend, you get a free $2 coupon for fruits and vegetables. Stop by the info tent to learn more.

The Cortelyou Greenmarket runs year-round on Sundays, 8am to 3pm, on Cortelyou Road between Argyle and Rugby Roads. For more info, find the Greenmarket on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
