Author Story Time: “The Night Our Parents Went Out”
When: Saturday, March 5 at 11am
Where: Greenlight Bookstore at 686 Fulton Street
What: Improvisational comedians and parents Soren Kisiel and Katie Goodman know all about the sweetness and rarity of a date night, and wondered: what is it like at home when we’re out? Thus was born the picture book The Night Our Parents Went Out, a gleefully absurdist tale that has siblings wondering what their parents are up to when they’re out. Are they in a runaway hot air balloon? Guarding a top secret lab? Dealing with vampire movie ushers? Each step of the way, their babysitter takes their wild tales and spins them one step further to help them rest assured that their parents can handle anything. Soren and Katie, both professional performers, present their book at a wild and silly story time, where kids can imagine their own parents’ adventures! Ages 3 to 8.
