Things To Do In Ditmas Park This Weekend

This weekend is actually supposed to be above freezing if you can believe it, so you can try new food at Sycamore or 50 cent Slurpees at a new 7-Eleven (no, not the one on Beverley and CIA), see music at Bar Chord and 773 Lounge, and enjoy a weekly Lark sing along twice as much when you bring your gently-used coats for donation.

Thursday, January 9

• Sign up for open mic night at 773 Lounge starting at 8pm.
The Strung Out String Band plays old-timey Appalachian music at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Friday, January 10

Sing along with Lloyd of The Deedle Deedle Dees (who will be collecting coats to donate this week) at Lark, 10am.
Shape Up NYC hosts a free introductory pilates class in Prospect Park, 12pm.
• Meet fellow moms and dads at the New Parent Meet-Up, Lark, 1pm.
• Enjoy 50 cent Slurpees, a DJ, and freebies including a raffle for one month free at Blink Fitness at the just opened 7-Eleven (853 Flatbush Avenue between Linden Boulevard and Martense Street), 1-4pm.
• Check out some amazing pies by neighbor John Wozniak at Lo Duca Pizza, 1:30pm.
• There’s a writing workshop for teens at the Cortelyou Library, 2:45pm.

Saturday, January 11

• Bring your little one to local baseball tryouts, ongoing Saturday and Sunday.
• Get caffeinated with your canine and learn about off-leash activities at FIDO-sponsored Coffee Bark (rescheduled from last week), Prospect Park, 7-9am.
• The Lavender Blues sing along is at Lark, 10am.
