Things To Do In Ditmas Park This Weekend

This weekend will be another lovely one before the weather turns on Monday, so make the best of it by frolicking in Prospect Park’s new Natural Exploration Area, jamming at BAM, Sycamore, Bar Chord, and Lark, drinking some Smokebeer at Hamilton’s Oktoberfest, or learning some recipes at Brooklyn ARTery. Monday, we’ll tell you what’s on for next week.

Thursday, October 3

• Discuss Participatory Budgeting ideas for District 45, Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School (610 E 37th Street between Avenue D and Foster Avenue), 6:30pm.
• Attend a Transportation Committee meeting at the Community Board 14 office (810 E 16th Street by Avenue H), 7pm.
• Sign up for open mic night at 773 Lounge starting at 8pm.
• Baroko is at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Friday, October 4

• Meet with the Friends of PS 217 at Milk & Honey (1119 Newkirk Avenue on the corner of Westminster Road), 8-9am.

Join the Brooklyn Bird Club for a walk starting at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, 12-1pm.
•  Get tickets for Shine and the Moonbeams at BAMKids, BAMCafe (30 Lafayette Avenue between Saint Felix Street and Ashland Place), 2pm.
• Join a race around the barnyard at the Lefferts Historic House, 2-4pm Saturdays and Sundays.
•  Honey, Dear plays vintage jazz at Lark, 4pm.
