Monday, April 27

• Candidates running for the 43rd Assembly District, which includes Prospect Lefferts Gardens and parts of East Flatbush, will debate at Grace Reform Church’s Grace Chapel at 1800 Bedford Avenue, 7pm.
• Join neighbor Ian Olasov for the Brooklyn Public Philosophers’ meeting, at which Hunter College’s Frank Kirkland will discuss W.E.B. Du Bois and Brown v. Board of Education. The gathering will take place at the Central Library’s Info Commons Lab, 7pm.
• See playwright Eliza Bent’s “Asleep at the Wheel,” a comedy that “peers into the underbelly of a theatre magazine whose staff is a mélange of Millennial ennui, entry-level excitement, mid-management apathy and executive blindness,” at Brooklyn College’s New Workshop Theatre ($15, buy tickets here), 7:30pm.

• Neighbors ages 12 to 20 are invited to learn about jobs, internships & more at CB 14’s free youth conference at Brooklyn College, 4-7pm.

• Shape Up NYC presents its Glutes in Gear: Cardio & Toning class at Prospect Park’s Audubon Center, 6-7pm. (Please bring your own workout mat.)
