There’s much to do in the neighborhood this week, from a free fireworks show and New York Philharmonic concert to a full line-up of fun musical events for children at Lark, and a chance to lend a hand volunteering at Prospect Park.

Monday, July 7

• Check out the weekly Shape Up NYC Couch to 5k Group Run, meeting at the Lefferts Historic House, 7pm.
Gamble Cosmos plays at Bar Chord, 9pm.
• Attend the Rolie Polie Guacamole sing-along with Phranque at Lark, 4:15pm.
• Work in a neighborhood bar or restaurant? Come take advantage of drink specials at Industry Night, 773 Lounge, 9pm.

Tuesday, July 8

• Attend a drop-in sing-along with Dan Loomis at Lark, 9am.
• There’s a drop-in sing-along with Miss Katie at Lark, 11am.
• Explore & Create for children at the Cortelyou Library, 2pm.
Jackson Lynch plays Bar Chord, 9pm.

Wednesday, July 9

• Lend the Wednesday Corps a hand at Prospect Park (call 718-287-3400 for location), 10am.
• Looking for a job? Get help with your resume at the Cortelyou Library, 3:30pm.
• Teens can learn about PS3 gaming at the Cortelyou Library, 4-5pm.
Catch a free concert under the stars by the New York Philharmonic at Prospect Park’s Long Meadow Ballfields, 8pm.
The Michael Louis Band plays Bar Chord, 9pm.
