Things To Do In Ditmas Park This Week
We’ve got a bunch of great events to get you through the week, both in our area, and by neighbors who you can see outside the area. Be sure to check back on Thursday to see what’s happening this weekend.
Monday, April 22
- Kids five and under are invited to Story Time at the Cortelyou Library, 4pm.
- The Rolie Polie Guacamole sing-along returns to Lark, 4:15pm
- Adam Schneit’s Band and Heavy Merge play the Radio Zero Series, Sycamore, 8pm.
Tuesday, April 23
- Sit zazen at Third Root, 5:55-7:10am.
- Join Mike “The Ballooniac” Gold for his Silly Sing-Along, Lark, 10-11am.
- Visit Pre-School Storytime at Midwood Martial Arts, 10:15 and 11:15am.
- Stop by Sustainable Flatbush‘s Healing Herb Garden for open hours, 2103 Kenmore Terrace by E 21st St., Tuesday-Friday from 4pm-6pm.
- Party for a Pantry with CAMBA, Fat Buddha Bar, 6-10pm.
- Vibraphonist/percussionist James Shipp plays with two bands at Sycamore, 9pm.
Wednesday, April 24
- Whip out your best moves with Gillad Khalifa and Yoni the Puppet at the Disco Time Singalong, Cortelyou Library, 10:30am.
- Rock out with The Dad Beats, Lark, 11am.
- Give the Wednesday Corps a hand at Prospect Park, 11am-2pm.
- Little’uns can attend PreSchool Story Time at the Cortelyou Library, 2:45-3:45pm.
- Kids can make arts and crafts, also at the Cortelyou Library, 4-5pm.
- 12-20 year olds (and volunteers) can attend the 6th Annual Youth Conference at the Brooklyn College Student Center, 4-7pm.
- Working on gaining U.S. citizenship, or just your English conversational skills? Drop into a free class with neighbor Benno Groeneveld, the Cortelyou Library, 5-6pm and 6-7:30pm.
- Attend Solarize Brooklyn‘s first meeting at the Windsor Terrace Library, 6:30-8pm.
- Attend the 70th Precinct Community Council meeting to discuss important neighborhood issues, 175 Lawrence Ave. between Ocean Parkway and Seton Pl., 7:30-9pm.
- Franglais plays their unique brand of jazz at Sycamore, 9pm.
