Things to Do in Ditmas Park This Week
This week should be a lovely one, both in respect to the spring weather (finally!) and in terms of activities. Check out the music, art, and educational events going on this week in our area:
Monday, April 8
- Join the East Side Revival Corps as they keep Prospect Park’s Vale of Cashmere and Rose Garden gorgeous, Prospect Park, 10am-2pm.
- Kids up to five can enjoy Story Time at the Cortelyou Library, 4pm.
- Rolie Polie Guacamole make their weekly sing-along debut at Lark, 4:15pm.
- Attend Community Board 14‘s monthly meeting to discuss extensions on residential buildings and work on the Junction Area, PS 249, 7:30pm.
Tuesday, April 9
- Sit zazen at Third Root, 5:55-7:10am.
- Visit Pre-School Storytime at Midwood Martial Arts, 10:15 and 11:15am.
- Kids can make arts and crafts at the Cortelyou Library, 4pm.
- Listen to Rachel Sherman’s Ditmas Fiction Class read from their most recent work, Lark, 7:30pm.
- Drink Woodford Reserve and Old Forester small batch bourbon at the finale of the Winter Tasting Series, Sycamore, 8pm.
Wednesday, April 10
Kids and adults can jam with The Dad Beats, Lark, 11am.- Missed your chance on Monday? Help the Wednesday Corps beautify Prospect Park, 11am-2pm.
- Kids can get creative at After School Art Classes with Monica Rodriguez, Brooklyn ARTery, 3:30-5pm.
- Join Benno Groeneveld’s U.S. Citizenship Exam prep class at the Cortelyou Library, 5-6pm.
- Then stick around for his English conversation group, also at the Cortelyou Library, 6-7:30pm.
