Things in Trees

Things in Trees

It’s always a little fascinating when nature engulfs man-made items. In our neighborhood, you can see that best in what the trees are slowly swallowing.

The treeface on Argyle.

Further down Argyle, this clothesline doesn’t look like it’s been used in a while, and it’s quite high up there.

Anyone know what this hunk of metal embedded at about knee-level in a tree on East 17th at Foster used to be? Guard rail, piece of a car, sign post…?

No parking. Private drive

And this partially devoured no parking sign is hard to beat.

Thankfully, at a glance these trees all seem to be doing well despite their unnatural additions. Have you seen anything else in the neighborhood that’s been stuck into a tree, and the tree is fighting back?
