What: A cool literacy program for kids ages 5-12 where they learn to make comic books.

Home Depot Kids Workshop: Build A Firetruck
When: Saturday, October 3, 9-12am
Where: Home Depot, 2970 Cropsey Avenue, Bensonhurst
What: It’s fire safety month, so kids can learn a little while having fun by building their own firetruck at this free workshop. Spaces fill up fast, and registration can be made online.

Halloween Harvest
When: Saturdays & Sundays through November 1, opens at 12pm
Where: Luna Park, 1000 Surf Avenue, Coney Island
What: Celebrate the seasons with storytelling, pumpkin picking, balloon art, crafts, s’mores, a doggie costume parade, karaoke, and more.
