Monday, February 23

• Check out the weekly Shape Up NYC Couch to 5k Group Run, meeting at the Lefferts Historic House, 7pm.
• Join neighbor Ian Olasov for a meeting of the Brooklyn Public Philosophers at the Brooklyn Library’s Grand Army Plaza branch, where Professor Geoff Holtzman will discuss why philosophy is so male-dominated and why that should change, 7pm.
• Find out more about a possible dog run at the Parade Grounds during a FIDO meeting, 7:30pm.
• Go old school at Sycamore’s VHS Mondays, 8pm.
• Get your laugh on at Our Neighborhood comedy night at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Tuesday, February 24

• Join the Flatbush Tenant Coalition at a “Know Your Rights Housing Forum” at St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf at 260 Eastern Parkway, 6:30pm.
Join the Brooklyn Front Runners (a multi-sport club for LGBT and LGBT-friendly athletes) for a run at Prospect Park every Tuesday evening, 7pm.
• Learn more about the Windsor Terrace Food Co-op, which is opening at 825 Caton Ave in March, at a meeting that’s open to members and non-members alike, 7pm.
• Try your hand at some moderately difficult trivia at The Lodge at Sycamore, 8pm.

• A gentle yoga class each Wednesday at the Church of the Nativity (1099 Ocean Avenue, by Farragut) will include stretching, strengthening, and breathing deeply, and the instructor noted it’s good for those with arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, or just regular aches and pains. $10 suggested donation, 10:30am.
• Join the sing-along with Debbie Deane at Lark Café, 11am.
• Get fit and attend the Falundafa exercise class at Cortelyou Library, 1:30-2:30pm.
• Kids are invited to get help with their homework at the Cortelyou Library, 3-4:30pm.
• Teens are invited to play the Wii, Playstation& more at the Cortelyou Library, 4-5pm.
• Shape Up NYC presents its Glutes in Gear: Cardio & Toning class at Prospect Park’s Audubon Center, 6-7pm. (Please bring your own workout mat.)
• Attend the monthly meeting of the 70th Precinct Community Council, 7:30pm.
Sycamore’s The Lodge presents its Classic Match Wednesday, when it will air sports games on its big screen TV and serve up food from Johnny Lupiani’s, 8pm.
