Monday, December 15

• Check out the weekly Shape Up NYC Couch to 5k Group Run, meeting at the Lefferts Historic House, 7pm.
• Join Hunter College Urban Affairs and Planning Professor Tom Angotti for “Brooklyn Transitions: The Future of Brooklyn and Its Citizens” at the central branch of the Brooklyn Public Library (10 Grand Army Plaza), 7pm.
• Were you born between November 22nd & December 23rd (or so)? If yes, you get to drink happy hour prices all night long at Sycamore’s Sagittarius Party! 7pm-close, with Tarot card readings from 7-11pm.
• Check out Brooklyn College’s production of John Cariani’s “Almost Maine,” in which the residents of a northern town “that doesn’t quite exist ask some of life’s most difficult questions in nine interlocking vignettes.” At Brooklyn College’s New Workshop Theatre ($12), 7:30pm.

• Join the drop-in sing-along with Miss Katie at Lark Cafe, 11am.
• It’s Babies and Books time at the Cortelyou Library, 11:15am-12pm.
• Get holiday coupons for Cortelyou Road stores and sip on free hot cider at an open house at Assemblyman Jim Brennan’s office, 3-7pm.
• Come sing and dance with Amy Miles at Lark Cafe, 4pm.
• Kids ages 6-12 are invited for arts and crafts at the Cortelyou Library, 4-5pm.

• Join Equality for Flatbush for their monthly meeting, which will address affordable housing and gentrification, at the Flatbush Library (22 Linden Boulevard), 5:30-7:30pm.

• A gentle yoga class each Wednesday at the Church of the Nativity (1099 Ocean Avenue, by Farragut) will include stretching, strengthening, and breathing deeply, and the instructor noted it’s good for those with arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, or just regular aches and pains. $10 suggested donation, 10:30am.
• Join the sing-along with Debbie Deane at Lark Café, 11am.
• Children in first through eighth grades can get help on their homework at the Cortelyou Library, 3-4:30pm.
• Teenagers are invited to make new friends while playing the Wii and PlayStation at the Cortelyou Library, 4-5pm.
• Attend a Falundafa (an exercise and meditation practice) class at the Cortelyou Library, 6:30-7:30pm.
