The celebration of Prince’s life will continue this Friday at Fort Greene Park with a concert in his honor.

The concert will start at 5pm with three hours of the Purple One’s music followed by an 8pm showing of the 1984 classic “Purple Rain”.

“‘If you feel like dancing’ and ‘u got the look,’ join me at Fort Greene Park as we celebrate the life and music of Prince,” said Borough President Eric Adams in a press release. “’Money don’t matter 2 night,’ so put on your ‘supercute’ ‘purple medley,’ hop in your ‘little red corvette,’ and ‘let’s go crazy.’”

The concert is being organized by Council Member Laurie A. Cumbo, Fort Greene Conservancy, and NYC Parks.

“We’re going to ‘party like it’s 1999’ at this celebration that will be truly fitting for a prince, all in the spirit of bringing our borough closer together,” added Cumbo

Prince died last week at 57 years old. Spike Lee held a block party in Prince’s honor.
