The Snowman Cometh: 15 Post-Blizzard Snow Sculptures

The great blizzard of 2016 – otherwise known as Jonas – may be history, but the storm left mounds and mounds of powdery white snow in its wake. While some families immediately took to the sled slopes, others busted out their shovels and built a snowman. The result? Confirmation that Brooklynites are an incredibly creative and talented bunch.

We had slumbering dragons:

A pirate princess:

Old Man Winter:

And a reminder that two feet of snow fell:

A giant snow octopus came out to play:

And one snowman ended up having a really bad day:

This friendly guy was just excited to be a part of it all:

“Jonasaurus” watched over the Park by night:

And snow mama enjoyed a long overdue momcation:

A unicorn proved that Prospect Park is truly magical:

And BB-8 won over crowds in Bay Ridge:

One Ditmas Park family created a snow grouch:

Some frosty divas turned heads with their impressive snowfros:

And this guy proudly showed off his home for the next week or so – which might just be one of the best snowman views in all of Brooklyn:
