The Greenmarket Report: Read and Eat

Today at Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket, author Robin Shulman will be hanging out at the info tent to promote her new book, “Eat the City,” a history of urban food production. So far, it’s been collecting raves from food history buffs and civilians alike, minus the contingent of people who are very disappointed that it is not a restaurant guide. (Be warned.) She’ll be selling and signing copies starting at 10am.

On Sunday, the Park Slope Farmers Market will be business as usual, only with more apples (happy first day of fall!). Also notable: sometimes-vendor YisRoYal has a special on Vegan Cookie Bites.

The GAP Greenmarket runs from 8am to 4pm at Grand Army Plaza. The Park Slope Farmers Market goes from 11am-5pm along 4th Street at 5th Ave.
