This morning at GAP Greenmarket, Chef Mona Talbott will be hanging out in the info tent, selling and signing copies of her cookbook, “Zuppe: Soups from the kitchen of the American Academy in Rome.” Also worth noting: brussels sprouts are finally back in season and awaiting your roasting.

Meanwhile, there’s big news at the Park Slope Farmers Market, particularly if you have/are a toddler — Mommy’s Yummies will be joining the roster of regular vendors. According to Mommy, “Mommy’s Yummies brings locally sourced, fresh, organic foods for kids 10+ months (although adults have been known to sneak frequent tastes)”.

The GAP Greenmarket runs from 8am to 4pm at Grand Army Plaza. The Park Slope Farmers Market goes from 11am-5pm along 4th Street at 5th Ave.
