At the local markets this weekend, learn how to make a North Indian dish, then pick up some olive oil and cook something up yourself!

Today at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket, meet Mukti Banerjee of Mukti’s Kitchen and taste some of her delicious Indian cooking as she works on demos from 10am to 1pm. She’ll share some secrets so you can use seasonal ingredients from the market to make your own. Drop by the Market Information tent to learn and taste!

Tomorrow at the Park Slope Farmers Market, one of the vendors on hand will be Kontoulis Family Olive Oil, bringing bottles all the way from their native village of Strefi, in Messinia, Greece. Also, CASA-NYC, a regional chapter of the greater national CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) that provides one-on-one advocacy for children and youth in foster care, will be at the community table from 11am to 5pm. Stop by, say hi, and ask questions!

The GAP Greenmarket runs Saturdays from 8am-4pm at Grand Army Plaza. The Park Slope Farmers Market runs Sundays from 10am-5pm along 4th Street at 5th Ave.
