The Greenmarket Report: Catch Of The Day

See whose fish cuisine will reign supreme at the 4th Annual Seafood Throwdown today from 11am-1pm at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket! Several food advocacy groups will be on hand to highlight the importance of local seafood in restoring a healthy ocean ecosystem. And of course, Blue Moon Fish will be on hand, so you can take a little something home to highlight the importance of deliciousness.

If you miss out on fish at GAP, the Park Slope Farmers Market also has a fish vendor. Joseph Fisheries comes out of Montauk, and depending on the day, Captain Mike Decker has an assortment of seafood that can include clams, flounder, bluefish, and more.

The GAP Greenmarket runs Saturdays from 8am-4pm at Grand Army Plaza. The Park Slope Farmers Market runs Sundays from 10am-4pm along 4th Street at 5th Ave.
