The NWS reports at least 1.5 inches have fallen in the area and the flash floods have caused the Gowanus Canal to overflow, particularly near 9th Street.

We are amazed at some of the photos you’ve taken of the water rising into the streets.

We just want to remind everyone to stay out of the streets and move to higher ground if you can until the flash flood warning has expired and the water levels have gone down. If your vehicle gets stuck in the water, get out as quickly as you can.
