- The candidates running for the 35th district seat on the City Council are meeting at a forum on hunger and poverty tonight at 352 to 358 Classon Avenue at 6 p.m. The forum is sponsored by the Food Bank for New York, a 30-year-old organization that’s one of the nation’s largest food relief programs. What questions are you going to ask the candidates, locals?
- Looking for a new landlord? How about Chris Rock? The comedian is looking for tenants to rent his almost 5,000 square foot Clinton Hill townhouse, reported Trulia Luxe Living. For around $8,000 a month, you’ll get a two-car garage and a separate guest apartment, plus the ability to name drop your landlord at parties.
- The Myrtle Eats Fresh farm stand is hosting a community day this Wednesday at the Ingersoll Community Center, reported Myrtle Minutes. Starting at 10 a.m., organizations such as the Greene Hill Food Co-op and the Brooklyn Food Coalition will host demonstrations and seminars about sustainable food options in the neighborhood.
