The Arrival Of The Long-Awaited Bensonhurst Greenmarket

Councilman Vincent Gentile and GrowNYC are thrilled to announce the grand opening of the long-awaited Sunday Bensonhurst Greenmarket.

The market will be located in Milestone Park on 18th Avenue between 81st and 82nd Streets. It will be open every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., from July 8 through November 18.

The new market will provide a selection of fresh, locally grown food produced and sold by regional farmers. The offerings will range from vegetables, fruits, plants and flowers to fresh fish and baked goods. Look for free cooking demonstrations, raffles and family-friendly activities at the market all season long.

“Whether you are a longtime resident or new to the neighborhood, this is where the neighborhood will come to gather every weekend,” said Gentile. “Now along with your fresh caught fish, baked goods, seasonal fruits and vegetables, you’ll have a common place where residents and new families can come and shop, share recipes and meet their neighbors.”
