This past weekend, police captured a woman who allegedly escaped from a police car in Coney Island on Thanksgiving Day, as well as a man they say is her accomplice.

Janine Power, 28, and Anthony D’Angelo, 41, were caught by authorities Saturday at a Mobil gas station on Avenue P and Coney Island Avenue in Midwood.

According to investigators, Power managed to liberate herself from a squad car at the intersection of Stillwell Avenue and Neptune Avenue on Thursday.

She had been arrested for stealing $30 and a cell phone from a cab driver earlier in the day.

Both Power and D’Angelo were taken into custody at approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday. Charges are pending against the two suspects.
