Thank You to the 70th Precinct for Supporting the Church Ave Street Fair

If you were out at the Church Avenue Street Fair a couple weekends ago, hopefully you had a chance to meet with some of the officers from our 70th Precinct, who were there to co-sponsor the event with the Church Avenue BID. Neighbor Nathan Thompson sent these photos from the day, and notes that he’s happy to see the BID and the 70th fostering a great relationship while helping Church Avenue grow:

And it was especially nice to some officer faces from the Church Ave area who we have not seen lately.

Officer Kim Walker who has been promoted to Community Affairs, was recognized by kids who grew up with her over the last 10 years. Officer Batson, while newer to scene, has also established a great vibe with the people in the neighborhood.

I had to grab a couple of shots of the kind of people who build bridges in this community and who it seems to me, have played a role in this new Church Avenue we see coming into its moment.
