Photos: 10 Stunning Views Of The Verrazano Bridge

Source: joo0ey via Flickr

The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge is quite possibly one of the most beautiful modern bridges in the world. Completed in 1964, the bridge remained the longest suspension bridge on the planet for 19 years, and, at 4,260 feet, is still the longest bridge span in the Americas. Its soaring towers are to the Southern Brooklyn coastline what the Empire State Building is to the Manhattan skyline – a shining, defining beacon seen from miles away.

Often in our inbox we receive photos of the beautiful bridge or links to those on Flickr. So we hit the photo sharing site to look for the 10 most stunning photos with Creative Commons licenses for us to share. Without further ado, here are 10 of our favorite shots of the glorious bridge, in no particular order. Think you can do better? Send your photos to nberke [at] bensonhurstbean [dot] com.
