Teen Hurls Rock, Anti-Semitic Slur At Midwood Driver, Cops Say

Police are searching for a teen who allegedly hurled a rock and shouted an anti-semitic remark at a passing car in Midwood Tuesday.

The victim was driving a 2015 Chrysler van northbound on Nostrand Avenue, near Avenue J, around 5pm when the rock came crashing through his rear driver’s side window, according to the NYPD. The motorist told police he heard the suspect shout “Jews” right before the window smashed.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect, who they say fled south on Nostrand Avenue. The victim was not injured.

The suspect in described as a black teenager, approximately 14 years old, five foot, six inches tall, 130 pounds, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue t-shirt and black sneakers.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident.
